TripPak SCANNING Location View allows truck stops, terminals,
and truck stop chains to monitor the number of documents being
scanned using TripPak SCANNING's truck stop document capture.
This tool is web-based and can be accessed with no special software
using a standard Internet browser.
How do I get a username and password so that I can use
Location View?
If you are a truck stop operator whose truck stop is part of
a chain or are a terminal manager, you can receive your username
and password by contacting your Location View Company Administrator.
If you are unsure who your Company Administrator is, contact
TripPak Services at helptpo@trippak.com If you are the main administrator for a chain or carrier, or
operate an independent truck stop, you can request a password
by emailing helptpo@trippak.com .
When you send your email, please indicate your respective chain,
carrier, or truck stop name. Also, please include your name,
title, and phone number.
How does Location View work?
Location View provides you with information based on your company
type– Truck Stop Chain, Carrier Terminal, or Independent Truck
Stop. Based on the type of company you are associated with,
your options in Location View vary slightly.
For Truck Stop Chain Administrators:
You can log in to the application and administer usernames and
passwords for your truck stops, so that they in turn can view
volume reports for their individual locations. You can also view
volume reports across all of the truck stops that belong to your
chain.
Once you log in, you will notice that you have three main options
on the left hand menu. You can select:
1. User Administration for Chain (Self): This option allows
you to change your personal password.
2. User Administration for Locations: This option allows you
to establish a username and password for each of the truck
stops that belong to your chain. You can set up a username and
password for each location and then notify the location that they
have access to the system. Please note: you must first “enable” the
individual location before they access the system. Upon
first login, each user will be required to change their password.
For security purposes, they must also change their password every
90 days after the initial login date.
3. Location Volume Report: This option allows you to view the
number of documents scanned at any or all of the truck stops
within your chain for a specified date and time range. Please
note: you must establish usernames and passwords for your locations
before you can run the volume report for that location.
For Terminal Administrators:
You can log in to the application and administer usernames and
passwords for your terminals, so that they in turn can view volume
reports for their individual locations. You can also view volume
reports across all of the terminals that belong to your company.
Once you log in, you will notice that you have three main options
on the left hand menu. You can select:
1. User Administration for Customer (Self): This option allows
you to change your personal password.
2. User Administration for Locations: This option allows you
to establish a username and password for each of the terminals
that belong to your company. You can set up a username
and password for each terminal location and then notify the location
that they have access to the system. Please note: you must first “enable” the
individual location before they access the system. Upon
first login, each user will be required to change their password.

number of documents scanned at any or all of your terminal locations
within a specified date and time range. Please note: you must

and view volume reports for your location.

2. Location Volume Report: This option allows you to view the
number of documents scanned at your location for a specified
date and time range.
What are the system and software requirements for Location
View?
In order to use Location View, you must have a functional web
browser. The recommended browser is Internet Explorer 6.0 or
later.
Does Location View require any specific browser settings?
Location View requires that your browser has SSL (a standard
Internet setting) enabled.
- Enabling SSL – Secured Sockets Layer
(SSL) is a protocol that transmits your communications over
the Internet in an encrypted form. You may enable SSL in your Advanced settings.
To access your Advanced settings, go to the
Internet Explorer menu bar and select Tools -> Internet
Options . From the Internet Options window,
select the Advanced tab. Locate the Security item.
Then ensure that the boxes next to Use SSL 2.0 and Use
SSL 3.0 are checked. This will allow your browser to
use SSL.
Do I need to adjust my display settings?
For optimal display, the following display settings are
recommended when using Location View:
- Recommended Screen Resolution – When
using Location View the following screen resolution is
recommended: 1024 x 768 pixels. To set your screen resolution,
click on your Start button and the select Control
Panel -> Display . In the Display Properties window,
select the Settings tab. On the Screen
Area slider, select 1024 x 768. Then click OK .
- Recommended Text Size – When
using Location View, you should set your browser text size
to Medium. To set your text size, go the Internet Explorer
menu and select View -> Text Size ;
then select Medium .
